The Origin of Bemberg® — Cotton Linter
The raw material of Bemberg® is cotton linter, a by-product generated during cottonseed oil extraction — the fine fuzz that surrounds cotton seeds. We give this fiber new value by transforming it into regenerated cellulose fiber. We are actively committed to utilizing natural resources in a meticulous and environmentally responsible manner.
Circularity
Cotton absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as it grows. The cotton linter, the raw material of Bemberg®, is a by-product of cottonseed oil production. After use, Bemberg® can be decomposed by microorganisms in the soil into water and carbon dioxide, which are then utilized again through the photosynthesis of cotton. In this way, Bemberg® contributes to the natural cycle and helps reduce environmental burden to a certain extent.
Note: This circularity reflects fabrics made from 100% undyed and unprocessed Bemberg®.
